The Chart tab is the home of SPX Lens: a live S&P 500 candlestick chart with a
short-term AI price forecast drawn right onto it, a set of one-click trading levels,
a market-context ribbon, and the day's AI trading plan alongside. This guide walks through every part
and how to use it.
The chart and forecast are free to view — no account required.
Timeframes & the chart
Switch between 15M, 30M, 4H, Day and Week at the top. The chart shows SPX
candlesticks with 20- and 50-period moving averages and S&P 500 volume (via SPY, since the index
itself prints no volume). Scroll or pinch to zoom; drag to pan. The default view frames recent price
plus the forecast to its right.
The AI prediction
To the right of the last real candle, the engine draws a 7-bar forecast — light
blue for predicted up bars, dark blue for down — inside a translucent envelope that
shows the expected range (the interquartile band of thousands of Monte Carlo paths, blended with the
options-implied move). A badge shows the expected % change and a confidence score.
How to read confidence. The score is calibrated against historical
walk-forward results: a reading near 55 means the direction call was right about 55% of the time at
that score. A score near 50 means the signals genuinely disagree — that ambiguity is useful
information, not a bug.
Clear Prediction toggles the forecast off if you want a clean chart.
Signal breakdown (the bar under the chart) expands the components behind the
current forecast: historical analogs, momentum, mean reversion and options signals (dealer gamma
regime, implied move, open-interest walls), plus the raw inputs behind the score.
Level chips (below the chart)
Each chip is a price; click it to draw or remove that line on the chart, and
✕ clear lines removes them all. The set:
LAST CLOSE — the most recent close.
PDH / PDL — previous day's high and low.
VAL / VAH / POC — the session volume profile: value-area low/high (the range
holding 70% of volume) and the point of control (highest-volume price).
VWAP — the session volume-weighted average price.
PRED HIGH / PRED CLOSE / PRED LOW — the forecast's extremes and ending level
(on by default).
SUPPLY / DEMAND — the nearest four-to-five-star resistance above and support
below.
BEAR TRIG / BULL TRIG — the daily-close levels that flip the bias, plus
EQ, the swing-range equilibrium.
Market-context ribbon (above the chart)
ADX — trend strength: under 20 choppy, over 25 trending.
ADR — average daily range (ATR-14), for sizing expectations.
VIX / VIX3M / RATIO / SLOPE / TERM — the volatility term structure:
contango (VIX below VIX3M) is the calm regime, backwardation signals stress.
SKEW — the 25-delta options risk reversal; higher means downside protection is
bid.
DXY (UUP) — the US dollar, a frequent macro headwind or tailwind for
equities.
The daily AI trading plan (left pane)
Published every US trading morning: the star-rated support/resistance level list
with UP/DP momentum tags and one-line reads, the "level that matters most this week," the compact
plan card (bias, triggers, targets, supply lid, EQ), critical levels and liquidity zones, trade ideas,
and example long/short scenarios with entries, stops and targets. Drag the divider to resize the pane,
or double-click it to collapse.
Concepts & glossary
Monte Carlo envelope — a range built by simulating thousands of possible price
paths and keeping the middle band, so the forecast shows uncertainty, not just a single line.
Volume profile (VAH/POC/VAL) — where the session actually traded, not just
where it closed.
Trigger — a closing level that flips the day's bias when crossed.
Term structure — the relationship between near- and further-dated VIX; a read
on whether the market is calm or stressed.
Next steps: grade the forecasts on the Track Record,
turn a plan into a defined-risk options trade on the Risk Graph, or read
the day's ready-made structures on the Trades tab. Everything is on the
Help hub.
