RipsterCloud Scan — how to read it

The RipsterCloud Scan runs an EMA-cloud trend-following engine (in the style of Ripster's EMA clouds) across a whole watchlist of stocks, ETFs and crypto, and reports every buy/sell signal the strategy would print. It works on 10-minute extended-hours bars, so pre- and post-market moves are part of the picture. Instead of staring at one chart, you get a live table of where clean pullback-continuation setups are firing right now, plus the exact indicator chart and trade levels for any name you click.

This is a members-only tab. The guide below is free to read; opening the live scanner requires a signed-in paid account.

The idea in one line

Trade with the higher-timeframe trend, but only enter on a pullback that resets — never chase an extended move. The engine encodes that discipline as a set of exact, repeatable rules so it can be scanned and back-checked rather than eyeballed.

The trade levels on every signal

Each signal carries a full Ripster-style trade plan, drawn as a box on the chart:

Summary table (left)

Every watchlist ticker with its current cloud regime, the latest signal (buy/sell) and how many bars ago it fired, sorted so the freshest setups float to the top. Click any row to load its chart.

Indicator chart (right)

The 10-minute chart with the 34/50 trend cloud, the 5/12 fast cloud, the B/S markers exactly where the engine printed them, and the trade box (entry, stop, TP1-3) for recent signals — the same graphics the underlying strategy draws.

Potential Trade Ideas + Risk Graph

Below the chart, rule-based reads of the live signal turn into concrete ideas — an options debit spread for equities/ETFs, or a long/short asset plan for crypto (which has no options). Each idea has a Risk Graph button that hands the legs to the Risk Graph tab with the strikes pre-filled, so you can see the profit/loss profile before committing.

Concepts & glossary

Why 10-minute extended hours?

The 10-minute timeframe is fast enough for intraday swing entries but slow enough to filter out the noise that makes lower timeframes whipsaw. Including pre/post-market bars means gaps and overnight momentum are already reflected in the clouds when the regular session opens.

Related scanners: the Squeeze Scan finds volatility compression, the MarketCipher Scan reads momentum waves, and the EMACloud Scan trades key-level reactions. See them all on the Help hub.
